Pet Store Tycoon: Clean Pets and Maintain Fish Tanks
Clean pets in Pet Store Tycoon by maintaining their enclosures. Handle fish tank glass, filter replacement and shop floor messes as separate jobs.
To clean pets' enclosures in Pet Store Tycoon, use the maintenance interactions on the habitat. For fish tanks, clean the glass and check the filter separately. Spills and trash on the shop floor are another cleaning job; removing them does not maintain the tank itself.
The shop walkthrough shows glass cleaning and filter replacement alongside fish feeding. Use it to recognize the tank maintenance actions before returning to your own display.
Clean the enclosure you are caring for
Go to the fish tank that needs attention and open its maintenance interaction. Clean its glass, then check whether its filter also needs replacing. These are separate actions, so finishing one is not a reason to skip the other when the tank still needs work.
Visit each occupied tank rather than treating the entire fish area as a single display. As your shop grows, new tanks and moved furniture can make it easier to overlook one enclosure. Checking them in a consistent order is a practical way to keep track of which ones you have already maintained.
| Problem | Object to use | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Dirty fish tank glass | The affected fish tank | Clean the glass |
| Filter needing replacement | That tank's maintenance controls | Replace its filter |
| Spill or trash on the floor | The shop floor mess | Clean the mess separately |
Follow cleaning with the other tank checks
A clean-looking tank can still need food or filter maintenance. After clearing the glass, check the remaining care needs before leaving. Feeding and maintenance work together in keeping the fish cared for; neither job is a substitute for the other.
Use Feed Pets if food is the next task. If you want to compare the tank's care with the needs of another habitat, Pet Care explains why the Critter Nook has a different set of controls. Do not look for a fish filter in an unrelated animal enclosure just because it appears in this procedure.
Keep the floor and enclosure accessible
Customers create spills and trash while the store is running. Clean those messes as their own tasks and make sure you can still reach the habitats. When a delivery trolley sits inside the store, customers have complained that browsing is difficult; moving that trolley outside addresses the obstruction rather than cleaning an animal.
After an expansion or furniture move, walk between the register, shelves and fish tanks before opening. This is a layout check: place objects so you can reach the maintenance interaction without repeatedly moving deliveries out of the way. The store layout guide covers arranging those working areas.
Choose the next care action
Return to the enclosure's state after you finish cleaning. If food needs attention, feed the animals. If the filter still needs replacement, handle it there. Once the tank's current jobs are complete, move on to another display or return to checkout. You do not need to repeat a completed glass-cleaning action just because a different care need is still waiting.
