Pet Store Tycoon: Play with Pets in the Critter Nook

Last updated 2026-10-05Unofficial player article

Play with pets in Pet Store Tycoon through Critter Nook management. Find Play, use the exercise wheel and check feeding and bedding separately.

To play with pets in Pet Store Tycoon, open a Critter Nook with Pocket Pets and choose Play in its management screen. The activity uses an exercise wheel. On the controller shown in this interaction, rotate the left stick in circles to spin it and release the stick to let it coast.

This progressed-shop video includes the Critter Nook and its wheel activity. The interaction appears around the fifteen-minute part of the walkthrough, after the player has unlocked Pocket Pets.

Use the Pocket Pets habitat

Start with an occupied Critter Nook. This is the habitat shown with Pocket Pets such as Hedgehog, Ferret, Hamster and Mouse. Open its management screen and find Play between the feeding and bedding care options.

Check the play bar before choosing the activity. Feeding has its own indicator, so a full Feed bar does not tell you whether play needs attention. Select Play when that need requires care, then complete the wheel interaction rather than returning to the shelf-stock screen.

Spin the wheel and let it coast

For controller play, move the left stick in a circular motion to spin the wheel, then release it to coast. The prompt describes both parts of the movement. Use that displayed interaction rather than assuming a single repeated button press completes the activity.

The left-stick instruction is for that controller layout. A keyboard or touch screen can show a different control prompt; use its matching input for the same wheel activity. The task remains playing through the Critter Nook's Play option, not pressing a made-up keyboard shortcut or buying a retail item from a shelf.

When you return to management, check the Play bar and the other care indicators. If feeding or bedding needs attention, choose that separate action next. Completing the wheel activity is not a reason to treat all three needs as automatically finished.

Keep fish care on its own controls

Your first fish tank uses feeding, glass cleaning and filter replacement. The Pocket Pets wheel is a different interaction in a different habitat. If you are still running the opening fish shop, follow Feed Pets and Clean Pets for the jobs available there.

As you add more animals, return to their actual enclosure controls. This wheel procedure explains the Critter Nook rather than promising that cats, dogs, birds or reptiles use the same activity. For the broader care routine, Pet Care compares the verified habitats; Pet Happiness helps you choose the next action from their separate indicators.
