Pet Store Tycoon: How to Feed Pets in an Enclosure
Feed pets in Pet Store Tycoon through their enclosure, then check the food state. Learn why stocked fish products and tank cleaning are separate tasks.
To feed pets in Pet Store Tycoon, open the animal enclosure and use its feeding interaction. For your first fish, feed the tank's animals after keeping them from a pack. Returning stock to a merchandise shelf is a separate job and does not replace feeding the fish.
The first-shop walkthrough demonstrates fish feeding along with keeping pack outcomes and preparing the shop for customers. Follow the enclosure action when you reach that part of the opening tutorial.
Start at an occupied enclosure
If you are setting up your first tank, open the fish pack and keep the animals before trying to care for them. An empty display needs fish; it does not need repeated feeding attempts. Once the pets are in the enclosure, open its care interaction and feed them.
Check the enclosure's feeding state after the action. Then inspect the next occupied tank rather than assuming one feeding action handles every display in the store. Separate tanks can have different animals and maintenance needs, especially after you add more space or move your furniture.
| What you are looking at | Next action | What it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Occupied fish tank needing food | Use the enclosure feeding interaction | The animals in that enclosure |
| Empty fish tank | Keep and place fish from a pack | Animals for the display |
| Sold-out Fish Flakes shelf | Order merchandise and restock it | A product available to customers |
| Dirty tank glass | Use tank cleaning | Maintenance rather than food |
Do not confuse food products with the care control
Fish Flakes and Tropical Fish Pellets are merchandise you can stock and sell. Water Conditioners are another product in the early retail range. Their shelf locations belong to stock management; the feeding interaction belongs to the animal enclosure.
That difference gives you two practical checks when the shop is busy. If a shelf is empty, replace its stock so customers can buy it. If fish need food, use their enclosure care. Doing the first job does not complete the second, and doing the second does not create a new delivery of retail products.
Keep replacement merchandise near its shelving when replenishing the shop, but leave yourself room to reach the tank. Boxes near a shelf can shorten stock trips; a delivery trolley left inside has caused browsing complaints. See Restock Shelves for the ordering and placement sequence.
Feeding is one part of keeping fish happy
After feeding, check the glass and filter as separate tank maintenance tasks. Food does not clean dirty glass or replace a worn filter. The cleaning guide explains how those jobs fit together without turning them into another stock purchase.
A useful routine is to care for occupied tanks before opening, then return to them while the day is running when they need attention. Choose that timing around your checkout queue and other tasks rather than using an invented feeding interval. For a wider comparison of habitats and their needs, open Pet Care.
